In summer 2018, we added a beautiful analog console to the family. An SSL 4040 E Series from 1985 now lives in studio B. Nothing short of the top level mixing comes through this desk, ensuring the best professional sound for your art. Fun fact… a few projects mixed on this console by the incredible Tom Lord-Alge are – LIVE’S multi platinum LP “Throwing Copper” and … CRASH TEST DUMMIES platinum LP “God Shuffled His Feet”

SSL 4000 E Series

In 2018, California based band called “Covet” (Yvette Young) recorded and released album “Effloresce” on Triple Crown Records. In 2019 they returned to VuDu to record “Acoustics”. In 2020 they returned to record their 2nd full length album that is yet to be released. They have also shot many great videos with Tom Flynn. Albums were produced and mixed by Mike Watts – Engineered and co-produced by Frank Mitaritonna.

The talented previous singer of “Dance Gavin Dance” and current singer of “Royal Coda” KURT TRAVIS recorded his Solo LP here at VuDu called “There’s A Place I Want To Take You”. It’s a unique combination of indie, electronica & dream pop. He shot a music video with Tom Flynn for his single “Easy Peasy” released on Blue Swan/Esque Records.

In 2018, Nathan Hussey and Kyle Samuel of “All Get Out” spent a few weeks writing/recording out here in the woods and created an incredible record called “No Bouquet”. Great songwriters! Released off of Equal Vision Records. Produced and mixed by Mike Watts.

Hopesfall came back to record their album “Arbiter”. They went on a bit of a hiatus after
their last time recording “Magnetic North” with Mike Watts in 2009. Needless to say, having them back was a GREAT time here. Post hardcore fans- you must check out this iconic band.

In January 2018, Sergio Medina was recording his solo project at Vudu which later turned into the formation of “Royal Coda”. Members in this band are Kurt Travis (lead singer), Sergio Medina (guitar/bass), and Joe Arrington (drums). Their first album is called “Royal Coda Self Titled” produced and mixed by Mike Watts, released on Blue Swan Records.
